Probing her inner psyche, a pianist relives her most potent memories of music-making in a dream featuring her former mentor.
The story revolves around the relationships musicians form, specifically the dynamics between your mentors, your art, and yourself. It's difficult to separate others’ wishes from your own, and to understand the root of where your art is created.
As my junior capstone production, I wrote, directed, and executive produced on this passion project. Joined by an incredible crew of student peers and talented actor-musicians, we created a beautiful story during production in March 2023.
In November 2024, Vitals completed a successful international festival run back in our hometown at the Philadelphia Film Showcase.
